Pontedera wind farm (Pisa)
The CVA Group has acquired from Electrawinds Pontedera S.r.l. - a company operating in the power sector and part of the Belgian Electrawinds Group - the Pontedera (Pisa) wind farm.
Featuring an installed capacity of 8 MW, it was designed, built and connected in 2008.
The power plant consists of four Enercon model E82 wind turbines that enable wind power generation of about 10 GWh annually. This amount provides for the energy needs of more than 3,000 households. The operation of this on-shore wind farm also avoids the release of about 3,000 tons/year of CO2into the atmosphere.
